Quick Tips

Quick Tips to help with my tutorials..

1. Re-sizing: Any kit will work with these tutorials. I note the size I use. if you use a different size kit your Re-sizing will be different. So Re-size your image so that it compliments your tube.

2. Sharpen: Always sharpen your re-sized tubes or elements one time by going to Adjust/sharpen.

3. Selecting your pattern. When I ask to flood fill with pattern. Select it in your foreground color by clicking on the foreground color in your material palette. A window will open. Select the pattern tab. Find your pattern. Click ok.

3. Elements: Always open Your elements in sets.. For example if you are going to use 4 flowers open them all. Copy the first one close the original paste it into your image. keep doing this till you have pasted all the flowers into your image.

5. Selection Tool: When using your selection tool to make borders. Always pull your image window out some. You do this by putting your mouse on the bottom of your image border until you see a black double arrow. Then you just drag your mouse down some. You will now see a black area on the bottom and top of your image. You can also pull out the sides the same way. This helps alot to make your selection area correct.

6. Warp Brush: Remember to use this carefully as it will draw up your image. If using on a stat border. I always resize my border once I am finished. By 103%. This makes sure the border will blend once it is put on the stat. Some use warp brush or deform tool. I perfer to re-size to maintain shape.
